Last days of summer

It's the last few days of summer here in NYC. But that means nice weather and time spent outdoors isn't time spent drenched in sweat. We went up to the Bronx Botanical Gardens for a wedding on Saturday.

Then hoofed it all over town on Sunday - a 5 hour marathon of Central Park and The Met. It was all in the hopes of finding a spot to take Anna's week 20 baby bump photo. We did find a cool one in front of an Anish Kapoor sculpture.

We went up to the roof garden at The Met, which we've never done before, and saw this crazy installation - Big Bambu, by Doug and Mike Starn. You have to wait for day-of tickets to go up into the bamboo, and we're intent on getting some of those tickets.

And so it's off into the fall. Halloween is coming up soon and we have to think up a costume idea to rival last year's butter and corn.
