V went to her first birthday party this weekend. A friend from high school recently moved to New York, and threw a lovely party for her daughter's one-year birthday. It was great to catch up with her and a few others from our high school. There was tasty Peruvian food, a massive cake that gave me a serious sugar high, hanging out on the playground, and ceramic painting for the older kids (sadly, V cannot yet hold a paint brush - looking forward to future parties where she can!).
