You might remember that a little over a month ago, V was (unsuccessfully) trying to figure out how to suck her thumb. That lasted for a few days, and then she stopped trying to jam her fingers into her mouth and went back to her pacifier. I figured that we were done with the thumb, but a few nights ago, Sean and I woke up to a horrendous slurping noise. When we checked on V in her crib, she had somehow gotten both of the booties off of her hands (she's been wearing them at night because she keeps scratching herself), and was sucking her thumb. And she's done so every night since. This new habit is a little extra motivation for us to get out of our studio apartment and into a place with bedrooms, now that she's turning into a loud little roommate!

and the thumb was chosen
