one month old!

Yesterday marked V's one month birthday and we had a special visit from my parents, brother, and grandmother to celebrate. It is Chinese tradition to give a gift at one month to celebrate a healthy baby, and my parents brought us a set of gold bracelets and a jade necklace that my dad's mother gave to me when I was one month old. It was a beautiful gesture, and we hope that V will be able to continue the tradition and pass them on when she has kids. Though, I am not sure what happens if we have another kid - I hope he/she doesn't feel shafted for not getting anything, though there are two bracelets - I suppose we can split them up if need be.

It is hard to believe that V is a month old. It seems like not that long ago that we brought her home from the hospital. She has gotten so much bigger and we are starting to see some personality - she has her habits and slight preferences.

Oh, and I made her a "day in the life" video of yesterday's events. It's not a completely typical day for her because of my family visiting, bit the rest is pretty typical of her daily routines.
