We had a big get-together this weekend to send my parents off to their next home in FL. They both grew up in the city and so their families are both still in the area. V hadn't met a lot of my cousins, aunts, and uncles before, so it was a nice thing to bring her along for lunch. It was also the first time she met her paternal great grandmother (below).
Four generations of Auyeungs
It's amazing to think that 96 years (I think) separate my Grandma Auyeung and V. Almost an entire century! And Grandma Louie is only about 10 years younger. The differences between their first few years will be incredible: technology, transportation, information, etc, have all made such leaps between the first decades of the 1900's and now.
I wonder what effect today's world will have on V's youth?
