Holy cow, V is five months old! Because we're in Seattle visiting family, all of the photos I took over the last month are on my computer at home, so I can't compile my favorite photos from the last month (whoops!). Instead, I will post my three favorites from V's five-month photoshoot. My grandma has a bunch of really great chairs, so it was hard to choose just one to shoot V sitting in.
This month, while more fun because V is getting more vocal and is starting to express her emotions through her voice (shrieks when excited! yells when frustrated! coos softly when content!), was also more frustrating because V wants to be entertained all the time. I used to be able to leave her on her playmat to entertain herself for a bit while I got some work done, but these days, as soon as I turn my back on her, she starts yelling in a very loud manner, which I assume is her way of telling me to Sit! Down! And! Pay! Attention! To! Me! Gah. On top of that, this last month was very stressful because we were looking for a new apartment (more on that later), so I really have gotten next to nothing done...I don't know how other mothers who are working from home do it - work/baby balance is proving to be quite difficult.
Otherwise, V has mastered rolling over, and can sit on her own, albiet very wobbly. She seems to like doing military-style push ups on her toes, and can scoot herself around her playmat by pushing herself off with her feet. I'm really hoping she will not crawl until we're in a new apartment, because keeping her from getting into trouble in our current place is going to be near impossible!

The one above is the Shrine of V. I love the one below, because V has been chewing on EVERYTHING, and she started gnawing on this chair while I was taking photos of her.
